Redvision X SERIES Dual Light

Redvision’s IP-based X-SERIES™ rugged dome now comes in 1080p and 720p resolutions.

Redvision’s RVX-IP30™, the IP version of its successful X-SERIES™ rugged PTZ and dome camera range, is now available in 1080p (Full HD) and 720p (HD) resolution models. Both models have three, simultaneous, real-time video streams.

The primary stream is for recording and is either 1080p or 720p, depending on model, with sub-streams of 720p, D1, VGA and QVGA for lower band-width recording, display and transmission. Video compression format options include H.264, MPEG4 or JPEG and both models have a 30x optical and 12x digital zoom.

The RVX-IP30-1080 HD model delivers Full HD, 1920x1080p resolution video, with a sensitivity of 0.35Lux in day/night mode reducing to 0.05Lux with IR illumination switched on. The RVX-IP30-720 HD has 1280x720p resolution, but with 0.25Lux is more sensitive in low-light.

“As the number of megapixels in a camera increases, its low light sensitivity decreases,” explained Paul Hucker, MD of Redvision. “Megapixel sensors have dead space between pixels which is not light sensitive. The proportion of dead space increases in higher megapixel models, compromising sensitivity. Our tests found that the 1080p model, with IR and white light illumination switched on, is effective up to 120 and 100 metres respectively, with operators recognising people at up to 40 metres. By comparison, the 720p model is effective up to a staggering 200 metres, with operators identifying people at 70 metres. 1.3MP is also specified in many Local Authority applications, which is our biggest single market.

“We introduced both models because some applications require low-light performance as a priority, so would use the 720p. Other applications need Full HD video as a priority, so would use the 1080p model.”

Latency in joy stick operation has been virtually eliminated with the RVX-IP30™, making operator control highly responsive. Full ONVIF integration ensures seamless, network operation with most leading manufacturers control equipment and VMS solutions and the list of SDK integrations includes Milestone, Exaq, Mirasys, Wavestore, Synetics, Avigiolon and many more.

Grundig's Ultra HD, 6MP Fisheye camera now uses 360° panomorph viewing technology, from ImmerVision.

Grundig Security is pleased to announce the inclusion of panomorph technology, from ImmerVision, in its Ultra HD, 6MP Fisheye, day/night camera.

The high performance, panoramic camera provides a 360° view, making it ideal for overview applications in retail, garage forecourt, public space, residential and reception areas.

Grundig’s panomorph camera offers exceptional image quality, using a 6 megapixel CMOS sensor with 360° and 180° viewing options, at up to 25 fps. The camera uses ‘ImmerVision Enables’ built-in de-warping software, the new 360° video standard, which corrects panomorph lens image distortion. The panomorph camera lens design allocates more pixels to critical areas of its view than a standard fisheye camera, such as those containing people or vehicles. It operates equally well in demanding lighting conditions, due to its 0.2 / 0.02Lux sensitivity and integrated IR LED illuminators. Further image enhancement technologies include digital wide dynamic range (WDR), digital noise reduction (DNR) and back light compensation (BLC).

The 360° view eliminates blind spots, capturing all site incidents, in a cost-effective, single camera solution. When used in combination with fixed cameras, this cutting edge panomorph camera helps to provide optimal site coverage with fewer cameras. Privacy zone settings for restricted areas are also included.

The ImmerVision de-warped video streams can be used with NVRs and more than 50 leading video management software platforms. The camera can be set up to provide operators with 1, 2 or 4 video streams or the 360° or 180° panoramic view.

A built-in SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card slot allows alarm and scheduled recording to take place in the camera and bi-directional audio offers additional incident intervention capabilities. Electronic pan, tilt and zoom functionality, in live or record modes, provides simultaneous detailed and overview images.

The Grundig panomorph camera is available in the UK through the Security Buying Group.

ImmerVision has developed the leading 360-degree panoramic imaging technology. Its patented, panomorph optical and software technology offers 360 degree solutions to all markets. Immervision Enables, is the recognized standard for 360-degree solutions and applications.

Pelco by Schneider Electric launches the Optera™ Series panoramic cameras, with a ‘panomersive’ user experience.

Pelco by Schneider Electric is pleased to announce the launch of its new Optera™ Series ‘panomersive’ cameras with panoramic viewing and SureVision™ 2.0 Wide Dynamic Range (WDR).

The Optera™ Series cameras seamlessly blend high-quality images from four, 3MP cameras, mounted in the same housing. An ultra-high definition, panomersive video stream is produced of an entire scene, whilst detailed, immersive video streams of multiple areas of interest within the scene are produced simultaneously. Each video stream is processed separately by Pelco’s VideoXpert™ VMS and other compatible, integrated VMS solutions.

“Many multi-image CCTV solutions produce disjointed video streams which can be out of sequence,” explained Kevin Saldanha, senior product manager for Pelco by Schneider Electric. “The Optera™ Series cameras provide the user with impressive panoramic views, seamlessly blending streams from all camera sensors to create a single, panomersive video stream. The operator can also zoom in and view multiple areas of the stream in more detail.

“The panomersive video stream is up to 12 megapixels at 12.5 frames per second in full resolution. SureVision 2.0 WDR, anti-bloom technology, 3D noise filtering and advanced tone mapping all help to deliver exceptional image quality in low-light, high-contrast scenes, day and night. Privacy settings and zones are also built-in.”

The Optera™ Series cameras integrate with Pelco VideoXpert™ VMS and Pelco Digital Sentry systems. Integration with major third party VMS solutions is enabled using the Pelco API, Panomersive SDK and ONVIF standard, using client-side dewarping.

Pelco video analytics is applied across the Optera™ Series’ wide field of view and includes abandoned object, adaptive motion detection, camera sabotage, directional motion, loitering detection, object counting, removed object and stopped vehicle.

Pelco will show the Optera™ 180° cameras at IFSEC 2015 and plans to release the 270° and 360° options later this year. They have ceiling, surface or pendant mount options and are delivered ready to install. The cameras are metal-cased, tamper-resistant and have an IK10 vandal-resistant rating.

Aimetis footfall ed

Security Buying Group allows existing VMS systems to be exchanged with Aimetis Symphony™ without paying license fees.

The Security Buying Group is pleased to announce its exclusive ‘Aimetis Exchange’ offer.

It gives installers the opportunity to replace any existing VMS-based, CCTV system with a current Aimetis Symphony™ VMS solution, without paying the camera license fee

The Aimetis EXCHANGE offer allows applications to benefit from the outstanding VMS functionality Aimetis Symphony™ offers, which includes taking advantage of its built-in analytics capability. Security Buying Group supports customers with system design, specification, training, deployment and managing the transition to the Aimetis platform.

“The Aimetis Exchange offer applies to any VMS-based, CCTV system with over fifty IP cameras installed using up-to-date software licenses,” explained Paul Scott, Technical Director of Security Buying Group. “The cameras, servers and storage devices must also be on our integration list, which is extensive, so rarely presents an issue.

“Customers are expected to commit to annual maintenance and support, but our pricing for this is very competitive and will probably reduce annual VMS fees for integrators in many cases. To maintain the high standard of the Aimetis products, we also expect the integrator to attend certification training. However, they receive free licenses in return for the training investment.”

Security Buying Group has a comprehensive portfolio of Aimetis applications in many market sectors, which can be seen on its website: http://www.securitybuyinggroup.co.uk.
