Nick finds out why Lambeth council selected Redvision cameras for its CCTV surveillance system.

Lambeth Council’s central monitoring facility controls 479 CCTV surveillance cameras in the Clapham and Brixton districts of London. It is the reference site for many other UK council-run CCTV systems.

Lambeth council is a densely populated inner city borough in London with a population of over 300,000. Kevin recognised that correct product selection is critical for sustainability and reducing total cost of ownership. After extensive field trials the X-SERIES™ rugged PTZ and dome cameras made by Optimum’s client Redvision came out top.

Nick went to Lambeth’s central monitoring station to interview Kevin about the selection process and to take some pictures of the impressive facility.
